What luck!

after the post yesterday, about how i wanted to find a job with photoshop, i got a call yesterday from a placement agency who got my resume about a photoshop position. There are positives and negatives to the job, and it would be a HUGE risk if i chose it.

positives:
-its only 10mins from home
-its a photoshop position
-its starting at $20hr ($3 more then i make now)

Negatives:
-its a temp to perm job. meaning, if they dont' like me within the 2-3 months of temp, then i'm screwed out of a job.
-i would have no insurance for the temporary months, i would have to buy my own insurance. i NEED insurance especially for de'von.

if i end up not getting permenant position, then i have to look for another job and continue to pay for insurance.

I expressed my concern to the woman i spoke with, and she completely understood. she was going to submit my resume to the company, and said that she is sure they would be impressed with my resume, as i am exactly what they are looking for. she said from there, they would set up an interview.
she told me to at least try the interview and see how i feel after that.
which is what i will do if i get an interview..

I guess all i can do is wait to see what happens :-)

Stacy, this one's for you

I was at Inacom temp to perm.. they loved me and got a permanent job. Did the temp agency say anything about health insurance? Some temp agencys have discounted health insurance available through them.. but then again some of them you have to be working through them for awhile.. either way.. hope it all works out!

Good luck Lis! I'm sure everything will work out...where is this job? When is your interview?
Have you done research on the company?

Go for it Peanuts! I'm sure if you keep a positive attitude, everything will be all right - remember The Secret!

And what is this about the Hot Rod car?

AWESOME! I say take the chance... you need to take chances in life.

Make sure it's not a scam company though :)
